On the Move - report

The following report comes from Rev Gary Seithel who is chair of “On the Move East” - 11 Brentwood area churches worked together this event and this is Gary’s report:

“This is great”- “this is amazing”- “what a good thing to do” are the comments we heard.  An atmosphere of freedom, hospitality, blessing through the food and the opportunity to sit and listen to the worship allowed the Father to touch Brentwood with His love.  The combined worship band was tremendous- from familiar hymns with a new rhythm and harmonies, to new songs that lifted up Jesus.  The Church was seen to be ministering to people.

In conversations where people were free to open up about their lives, they revealed needs that were prayed for.  A major theme this year were lapsed Christians who realised they needed to come back.  The Father was calling the prodigal sons and daughters back home to a church family.

At least three older people (75,80, 95) realised in their conversations that they had never actually asked Christ to be their saviour….. until this BBQ! We give thanks for them and Jean’s lovely way of sharing the good news.

Those who had expressed interest were invited to a meal “On the Move East Discover” at Pilgrims Hall, Ongar Road, Brentwood this coming Thursday, 7th July at 7.30pm to find out more through an Alpha course or Christianity Explored. For more information email gbseithel@gmail.com

Please pray for all those who heard the Lord speak to them to continue to respond.

Thank you for working together to bring this festival of the Father’s love to Brentwood!

Gary & all the OTM East team!
