Forever and Ever Amen

In this twelth and concluding part of the devotional series on The Lord's Prayer, Pastor Peter Linnecar looks at what "Forever and ever" means for us.

Forever and everWe might end our greeting with someone by saying, “we’ll see you some time.”

In this world it’s finite, time limits, as far as God is concerned, He inhabits eternity. He is the eternal one. When Jesus concluded His prayer by saying, “forever”, He brought home to the disciples something that was so wonderful.

He came to this earth for just 33 years. He inhabited a human body. He became man and yet He was God. He was sinless, but because He was sinless He took into Himself our sin and He conquered death, and He lives forever and ever.

In your life and my life, it really can be a heaven on earth. Our lives are hid with Christ in God forever and ever.
